So your giftee was actually my friend, which is how I found y'alls game. I gotta say this game was some of the most fun I've ever had on a game jam game. Great game and I can't wait to see what y'all make in the future.
Spoilers:
I nearly predicted the entire story with jokes i was making on call. I kept making jokes about Tom going on a psychotic episode and eating all the food, then made a reference to the episode of the Amazing World of Gumball where Gumball is possessed by Carrie, so she could eat food. Much to my surprise that was pretty much exactly what happened. I also went on a 10 minute tangent to my friend(who I was in call with) about why it was impossible for Charlie(slimcicle reference?) and Brian to have done the deed. Fun times.
Charlie actually was an accidental reference, but we did know of that. I remember when we were coming up with the characters and like 5 minutes after coming up with the name for Charlie my friend was like: "Wait a second..." and showed us that channel. We just decided to keep that, because that is pretty funny.
I'm also pretty happy that the who could have not done it thing worked, because we didn't playtest at all and realizing who the culprit is could have been way too hard.
